AE awards best newsletter

The European Specialist Sports Nutrition Alliance, for which Whitehouse Communications acts as Secretariat, has been shortlisted for two Association Excellence Awards for its Covid-19 Resource Hub.

The Awards celebrate the work which associations, trade organisations, unions and industry bodies do for and on behalf of their members. ESSNA is a finalist in the categories for Best Association Newsletter, Blog or Online Resource and Best Membership Support During Covid-19 (Under 800 Members).

The Hub is an online centre featuring advice, insights and resources which would be useful to the organisation’s members during the coronavirus crisis, such as: The ESSNA Guide on Exercise Restrictions, which contains a regularly updated list of exercise regulations across Europe during the pandemic; the ESSNA guide to Home-based Sports Nutrition and the ESSNA Guide to Managing a Crisis.

Dr Adam Carey, Chair of ESSNA, said:

“We’re really pleased with these nominations as a testament to ESSNA’s hard work supporting our members through the coronavirus crisis, as well as to the resilience of the whole sports nutrition industry.

“The past year has been a difficult one for the sports nutrition industry as many aspects of public health, like sports and exercise, were restricted in order to keep people safe.

“But throughout the pandemic, sports nutrition businesses have risen to the challenge of adapting to their customers’ lifestyle and business changes, and we are proud to have supported our members in doing this.”

Whitehouse Communications first launched ESSNA in 2004, and have since then provided its association secretariat, public affairs, media relations and regulatory compliance services.
