Whitehouse campaign helps deliver Labour Manifesto commitment to Ambassador for Religious Freedom

Tucked away on page 81 of Labour’s Manifesto, published today, is a commitment to establish a Global Envoy for Religious Freedom. This is great news for people of all faiths and none who will have the boost of a renewed focus on their rights in international law to enjoy freedom of religion and belief. It is something that the team at Whitehouse have worked over several years in supporting the All-Party Parliamentary Group on International Religious Freedom. It is one small but important step to address the modern global holocaust of violence and persecution on the basis of faith. That the announcement appears alongside a pledge to appoint an International LGBT Rights Envoy is politically consistent and logical.
