Chairman Chris Whitehouse featured in an article on CNBC

Everyone is talking about Borisโ€™s decision to ask the Queen to suspend Parliament just days after MPs return to work in September โ€“ and only a few weeks before the Brexit deadline.

CNBCโ€™s Elliot Smith has written an article summarising the events of this morning, โ€˜Sterling falls as Boris Johnson moves to suspend parliament, making a no-deal Brexit more likelyโ€™, which features the thoughts of Whitehouse Consultancy Chairman, Chris Whitehouse:

โ€œBoris Johnson had no control whatsoever over the timing of Theresa Mayโ€™s resignation and the election of himself as the Conservative party leader, and the decision of Her Majesty to ask him to form a government,โ€ he said.

โ€œIt is, however, incumbent upon him to set out Her Majestyโ€™s governmentโ€™s plans for his term as Prime Minister, and to do so as promptly as reasonably possible after taking that position, and that is precisely what he is doing โ€” no more, no less.โ€
