The Association of School and College Leaders this week published the final report of its great education debate survey. It demonstrates strong consensus on three priority areas, or “building blocks”, which the Association says need to be at the heart of system improvement. They are: ensuring achievement for all students, building the professional skills of teachers, and promoting collaboration among institutions.
The report Leading for the Future: A summation of the Great Education Debate, brings together contributions from more than 20 education experts – including Andreas Schleicher of the OECD, Professor John West-Burnham, Dale Bassett of AQA, and Sir Anthony Seldon of Wellington College – along with headteachers and secondary school students.
