The Whitehouse Consultancy has hired former Telegraph journalist Alex Singletonย to work asย anย Associate Directorย on a project basis, following a number of client wins in the first half of the year.
Singleton is the author ofย โaย โbook on media relations, The PR Masterclassโ. Heย has experience of personally giving testimony at Parliamentary select committeesโ. He has also appeared widely on television and radio, including on the Today programme, Newsnightโย and Channel Fourโs current affairs comedyย show 10 OโClock Live.
He originally worked in the political think tank world, as the Research Director of the Adam Smith Institute and as head of the Globalisation Institute. David Cameron, then Leader of the Opposition, launched a report Singleton produced which advocated enterprise-based solutions to global poverty. At The Telegraph, Singleton was part of the leader-writing team and worked on the newspaperโs comment pages.
