Sheffield CCG and local authorities to use integrated health and social care budget

June 30, 2014 12:52 pm

Sheffield’s clinical commissioning group and city council have unveiled plans to pool £237 million more than required by national Better Care Fund rules in 2015-16, with the “ultimate aim” of establishing an integrated budget for health and social care. The total pooled budget will amount to £278 million, £187 million coming from the CCG and £91 million from the council, despite the rules requiring only £41 million to be pooled in total.
