Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt told Health Services Journal this week that the NHS can withstand the financial squeeze it faces during the next parliamentary term by adopting new technologies and making care safer. “We’re only scratching the surface when it comes to innovation. The primary motivation is to improve services for patients, but there is a secondary massively important benefit which is that it saves cost” he added.
