Occupational health programme for GPs announced

NHS England has announced it will procure high quality occupational health services for GPs in England to deal with concerns about poor performance resulting from burnout and stress. The service will be mirrored after the existing one in Wales and will be available to all GPs on the performers list across England. Head of primary care development at NHS England, Dr David Geddes said that NHS England would establish a procurement framework roughly within the next four months that area teams will use to commission services that meet the national criteria.
