A Whitehall review into the Better Care Fund has cast doubts over its viability and expected cost savings and will result in delaying its roll-out, the Guardian reports. The £3.8 billion programme is aiming to reduce growing pressures on the NHS by merging health and social care services, bringing them “closer to home”.
