Teachers strike expected to go ahead

It is expected that more than 10,000 state schools face being thrown into chaos as teachers across England and Wales prepare to launch the first national strike in almost three years. At least half of schools could close or partially shut on Wednesday after the National Union of Teachers announced plans for a one day walkout in a major protest over reforms to pay and pensions.

Gary from PSI: Interestingly the NASUWT has decided against joining the national walk out, prompting claims that support for strikes is collapsing.
