The Bacs Payment Schemes Limited have reported that charitable giving by Direct Debit has grown over the last year. The total number of Direct Debit donations increased from 56 million in 2012 to 58 million in 2013. The period from 2011 to 2013 saw the total number of Direct Debits being paid to charity increase by four million, or around 7.5%.
