A court hearing into recent disturbances at Oakwood Prison, run by private firm G4S, has heard that three inmates were told by a jail gang to throw excrement over guards during the disturbance. The disorder, described as a “full scale riot”, took place last month and saw prisoners take over an entire wing of the jail. Each of the three inmates had extra time added to their sentences.
