London Councils, the representative group for the 32 local authorities in the capital, has released a report which argues that opportunities for Londoners to find employment or training schemes have been lost due to a skills shortage in London. The group has published ‘myth busting guidance’ alongside the report in association with business group London First, which aims to raise awareness of the employment and skills opportunities through procurement by highlighting key success stories, and dispel some preconceived ideas on how to generate jobs and skills through procurement.
