Labour question future of G4S prison

Labour has called on the Government to abandon its plan to use the G4S-run Oakwood jail in Wolverhampton as a model for reforming the rest of the prison system. Shadow Justice Secretary Sadiq Khan said Labour “wouldn’t tolerate the current situation at HMP Oakwood,” where further disturbances broke out over the weekend. He insisted the private security firm G4S would be given six months to “shape up or ship out” under a Labour government.
