CBI President Sir Mike Rake argued that recent rhetoric suggesting that business is the enemy couldn’t be further from the truth, warning that only the private sector can deliver jobs, growth and rising living standards. At the same conference the Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls warned that a British exit from the European Union would be “reckless, foolish and deeply damaging”.
