Where’s the NHS going? Whitehouse reports

LONDON, ENGLAND - MARCH 24: An NHS sign at St Thomas's Hospital, A&E department on March 24, 2020 in London. British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, announced strict lockdown measures urging people to stay at home and only leave the house for basic food shopping, exercise once a day and essential travel to and from work. Following a tumultuous year for the NHS and wider health sector in the UK, there will almost certainly be large-scale transformations in the way health and social care is delivered across the country.

NHS England have already published a document setting out proposals for legislative reform and the direction for integrated care systems (ICSs), building upon plans set out in the NHS Long Term Plan for health and care to be joined up locally around people’s needs.

The Whitehouse Consultancy respected health policy team has published the first of a series of fortnightly updates, capturing recent activity on NHS reform, and looking ahead to upcoming parliamentary and stakeholder events on the future of the NHS. Intelligence from interviews with senior officials, Ministers and policy-influencers will also be a feature of the new series.
