Webinar: The loss of DfID and the world’s poorest after covid-19

The Whitehouse Consultancy hosted a webinar led by Christine Allen, Director of the leading international development charity, CAFOD. Christine discussed CAFOD’s emergency coronavirus response, including the campaign to secure debt cancellation for the poorest countries. She introduced CAFOD’s new framework called ‘Our Common Home’, which takes its name from Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si – On Care for Our Common Home.

Christine also explained CAFOD’s concerns on what the merger of DFID into the FCO means for the UK’s international development work and the impact it will have on the world’s poorest people, before taking questions from the Parliamentarians that attended.
