‘Crisis Recovery: How to Cut Through the Noise’ webinar at 3pm (BST), 12th May 2020 featuring Isabella Sharp, Nick Carding and Jessie Lau.
A distinguished panel of political experts, journalists and press officers will discuss crisis recovery amid the Covid-19 pandemic in the first of The Whitehouse Consultancy’s free webinar series.
‘Crisis Recovery: How to Cut Through the Noise’ is being hosted by Whitehouse as part of its refreshed crisis communications offer to help businesses recover from the Covid-19 fallout. The webinar will feature special guests journalist Jessie Lau, who reports on the ongoing crisis in Hong Kong, and Nick Carding, Senior Correspondent at the Health Service Journal (HSJ), to give a journalist’s view on the best and worst PR approaches and an understanding into how healthcare organisations are using communications to navigate Covid-19. They will be joined by Whitehouse’s Deputy Managing Director Isabella Sharp, the agency’s crisis communications expert with a background in NHS communications and former Head of External Affairs for Southbank Centre.
Whitehouse’s own Laura Coryton, who has worked for two political parties as a campaign organiser and is founder of the internationally renowned petition-led campaign to successfully end tampon tax, will be hosting and chairing the webinar. The speakers will bring their unique and personal insights into dealing with a crisis on behalf of stakeholders, organisations and government bodies.
The webinar is designed to act as a tool for those struggling to deal with the implications of the current Covid-19 crisis but also for those who wish to gain a deeper understanding of crisis management and how to protect their organisation before, during and after a crisis. The programme will give an overview of the different ways in which Covid-19 has threatened businesses, followed by expert advice on how best to deal with threat and emerge stronger, including devising a crisis communications plan and achieving resonance with the right stakeholders.
Chris Whitehouse, Chair of the Whitehouse Consultancy, said: “Businesses and organisations all over the world are facing major crises as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which makes crisis communications and issues management crucial during these uncertain times.
