Whitehouse’s Alex Singleton examines new research which shows what churches are doing wrong when dealing with reputational crises. In an article for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, he writes that: “churches can reduce the fallout from a crisis by preparing well. Most of the risks are obvious – burglary, arson, vandalism, internal theft, moral failures of clergy. And having a decent set of plans and procedures in place could make a huge difference to a church’s reputation.”
