Schools face further closures after the National Union of Teachers voted in favour of strike action in the ongoing row over pay, pensions and conditions. Delegates at the union’s conference in Brighton agreed that unless “significant progress” was made in talks with the Government, teachers will go ahead with plans for a national strike in the week commencing 23 June.
