Ed Miliband MP has suggested Labour is considering bringing some rail franchises back into public ownership. The Labour leader said he was in favour of “innovative solutions” when it came to the railways, and cited the East Coast Mainline as a good example of public ownership.
Gary from PSI: If Miliband was to follow through with this commitment it would create a major dividing line with the Conservatives who have sought to privatise the East Coast line.
