A survey by New Philanthropy Capital has found that nearly a quarter of the public believe charities are becoming too involved in delivering state services. 23% said that delivering public services that “should” be delivered by the state is one of the main things charities are doing wrong. The study shows that Labour Party supporters, those working in the public sector and the middle-aged are the groups most concerned about charities becoming public service providers.
