Darren Philp

Darren is a policy and public affairs professional with extensive experience in developing and influencing public policy in the UK and Europe, providing advice at C-suite level to mass market financial services companies.

His most recent employer was the fintech platform pension provider, Smart Pension, where he was Director of Policy. After completing an MSc in Economics he spent 13 years at HM Treasury before leaving to lead on policy issues at a financial services trade association.

Well versed in strategic marketing, PR, lobbying and policy development, Darren is the founder of Shula PR and Policy, an agency that specialises in strategic public affairs and policy consulting for financial services, fintech and pension companies.
